BT HomehubFor anyone trying to use a BT Homehub as a regular phone (ie. without BT broadband): Plug the phone cord from the wall into the socket on the back of the hub marked "Broadband". NOT the one marked "Phone". Who needs logic? - Sat 26th Jul 2008, 01:05 pm
Thomas FletcherI've put some stuff on thomas-fletcher.com. There's also an FAQ and some more information about Friend Wheel. Go take a look. - Mon 3rd Sep 2007, 12:00 am
Crashthatch.com has RSS!There's now an RSS feed available for crashthatch.com accessible at http://www.crashthatch.com/rss.php This is mostly so I can import my posts to facebook, but partly because I was curious as to how to set one up, and I guess people might want to use it... maybe. At least this way people are more likely to view my posts. - Fri 17th Nov 2006, 08:02 pm
Shiny Books of FacesI have joined facebook because I was bored. If you know my real name, you can probably invite me to be your friend or something. I may try and figure out how to get these posts into an RSS feed and have them appear on my profile. Depends how bored I get. In other news: Maths sucks (especially limits). - Wed 15th Nov 2006, 11:27 pm
Techtree ImagesThe techtree I mentioned a few posts ago is now in image-form. I was just going to have a navigatable information screen for each tech, but it is quite difficult to visulise, so I've put together a few images. The bottom line is what you start with. Anything without a prerequsite can be researched from the start. It works up from there. Black, bold tech is the name of the technology. Non-bold black text is what it allows (a structure or vehicle component). Red italic text is another prerequisite from one of the other tech trees (If anyone can put together a single image without the red text or too much complexity, that would be good.) The colour of the lines doesn't matter- I just used different colours for crossing lines so they don't get mixed up. Tech Tree Complete(ish)As I'm sure I've mentioned here before, I am creating a new "Space Game" (working title). I've done a large part of the engine (although stuff can't actually be created, anything that's already there can be used)- and now I've finished the tech tree. I did it by writing each tech on the back of a business card, then arranging them on the floor, connected by pencils and bits of string:
The stats and costs of all vehicle components are next to be decided. - Tue 20th Jun 2006, 06:41 pm
Computer PhuttedThe power supply in my computer has died, and the replacement won't be delivered until about Wednesday so it will be a few days before I make any more posts here or on the forums. If you've emailed me you'll have to wait a few days for a reply too. - Sat 17th Jun 2006, 11:31 pm
Science MythsCommon Physics Misconceptions. This site has many of the common misconceptions about science on it. I've only looked at a few so far, and I've already found one which I thought was true. - Wed 3rd May 2006, 11:40 am
